Council Shirts

Brother Bill, has arranged us an ability to order council shirts.  Fully Promoted, a promotional store provides embroidered shirts to several local KC councils,   Shirts can be ordered during the first 2 weeks of the month and your shirt will be available at the end of the month.

Two options are available in Navy Blue:  A polo style shirt and a button down collar shirt.  Each shirt has the KC Logo with council name and number above the pocket on left chest.

For $5 extra, you can get your name on the right side of the shirt. It is nice to wear a council shirt to events at church or council meetings.  It lets parishioners know that we are men of faith in action.  The shirt is a good recruiting tool as other men will ask for information on how to join.

True Story of Christopher Columbus and Why it Matters

Brother Knights,
In recent decades, facts have been pushed aside in an effort to recast Columbus as a villain and/or architect of violence and injustices.  Columbus is important in history as he brought Christianity to the New World.  While Columbus was not perfect and some of the men accompanying him certainly committed abuses, it is neither fair nor intellectually honest to blame Columbus for such injustices nor any of the societal issues we face today.

Courage and Conviction, The True Story of Christopher Columbus is a 30 min. documentary that offers insight into Christopher Columbus' remarkable journey, facts on the encounter of civilizations, details on the origins of Columbus Day and context behind the affinity many immigrants have for Columbus. This film shows why Christopher Columbus remains not only a man worthy of admiration, but a noble icon of what it means to be a Catholic and an American.  Please watch this video with your family: Columbus Video
