7th ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Summary from the 7th  Annual Charity Golf Tournament on October 03, 2021. The event was a huge success with nothing but positive comments received from the participants. There was 150 people in attendance (100 Golfers) (50 Extra Dinners) and Sponsors who participated and supported this event. 
 
We had special prizes for the top finishers in the men's, women's and couples divisions. There were other golfing events included on the golf course that was very enjoyable and competitive. Putting Contest, Longest Drive etc. 
 
During dinner we announced the raffle and 50/50 winners. The raffle consisted of at least 20 of the very popular Wine and Gift Baskets. Our Live Auction had some great items. Autographed Major League Baseballs and Derek Jeter memorabilia  Gift certificates from local restaurants, hotel's, and other prominent businesses in and out of our community. John Deer, Innisbrook Golf Resort, Ruth's Chris, Flame Stone, Hooters, Publix etc.    
 
Our mission is to distribute the proceeds from this event to our parish and to the various charities within our community. The West Pasco Special Olympics, West Pasco Pregnancy Centers, Gulf Coast Alzheimer's Association, Boys and Girls Club of America, our Veterans the Homeless and many others. 
 
As parishioners, we should be proud of the members from SPTA Knights of Columbus, Women's and Men's Council who volunteered to make this happen.  Kudo's to Heritage Springs Country Club for  the prestige condition of the golf course and for the great food and service.   

JACKETS FOR KIDS PROGRAM

Council 15779 is funding a program that will aid youngsters who have minimal means to purchase a winter jacket.

The program, operated by the Knights of Columbus, has donated over 500,000 coats and jackets to boys and girls who currently have limited resources.  The program is for children from kindergarten though eight grade.

The Council held a fund raising drive in September 2021 and secured $830.00 in private donations.  In addition, the Council donated $1,000.00 and purchased a total of 144 jackets for the benefit of the youth at Cotee River Elementary School.

Pictured during the presentation (L to R) are:  Donna Jacqmin, Barbara Setteducato, Sharon Slusser (Cotee River Principal), Brother Nunzio Scorcia (Council Chancelor), Brother Glenn Falk (Council Deputy Grand Knight) and Sue Wilson.  Ms. Jacqmin, Ms. Setteducato and Ms. Wilson are representatives of the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry at St. Peter the Apostle Church.

Kiddy Up Ranch Presented with Donation from K of C

 

On May 12, 2021. Kiddy Up Ranch of New Port Richey, FL was presented with a donation of $500.00 from the St. Peter the Apostle, Knights of Columbus Council 15779, Trinity, Fl.  

 

The Kiddy Up Ranch utilizes Therapy and Learning Academy which focuses on ability and not disability. Our Therapy and Learning program includes Therapeutic Riding, hands on Agriculture program, and our Horse Boy Method and Learning Programs.

 

The mission of Kiddy Ranch is to help every child meet their emotional, social, cognitive, physical, and educational goals. We achieve this goal through many different methods using animal facilitated therapy and learning techniques. We also provide a place of respite for our families.
