2026 March for Life

2026 March for Life
Friday, January 23, 2026
Washington, D.C.

The 2026 March for Life theme is "Life is a Gift," celebrating human life from conception to natural death with rallies, concerts, and events, marking the 53rd annual demonstration to advocate for the unborn.

KofC Supreme Office relies on volunteers to help distribute KofC signs and hats on the National Mall, in the hours before the onset of the march. This year, the Maryland State Council has been asked to provide the 30 knight volunteers needed to assist with distribution in the morning hours of 9:00 am to noon. All volunteers will be rewarded with a free KofC windbreaker and fleece hat. Can you be one of those volunteers? If your answer is yes, please follow the link below and complete your registration.

Little Sisters of the Poor

Supporting the Little Sisters of the Poor in 2026 is a vital way for our Council to live out the core Knights of Columbus principles of Charity and Unity. Known affectionately as the "Big Brothers" to the Sisters, KofC has a longstanding history of standing with those serve the elderly poor with dignity.

Why Support the Little Sisters

  • A Vulnerable Mission: The Sisters rely entirely on God’s Providence and the "goodness of others" to sustain their homes. They follow a mendicant (begging) tradition, meaning they have no endowment and must raise nearly 40% of their operating costs through ongoing donations.
  • Defending a Culture of Life: Supporting the Sisters is a powerful pro-life action. They provide "life to natural death" care, ensuring that the elderly and dying are never alone and are treated with the respect they deserve as children of God.
  • Historical Partnership: In 2016, the KofC presented the Little Sisters with our highest honor, the Gaudium et Spes Award, for their witness to the Gospel and their courageous defense of religious liberty.

How You Can Help in 2026

The Sisters have an immediate and ongoing need for practical supplies to care for their Residents.

  • Material Donations:  items from website list, including:
    • Food Staples: Individual pudding/fruit cups, coffee pods, and tea bags.
    • Hygiene Items: Unscented body wash, shampoo, and mouthwash.
    • Household Supplies: Paper products, laundry detergent, and batteries.
  • Financial Support: Cash donations are always welcome and allow the Sisters flexibility to meet urgent medical or facility needs.
