2026 Eric Anangfac College Scholarship

 

Council 13408 is pleased to announce it will be awarding college scholarships to graduating high school seniors whose families are registered parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena. 

 

You may contact the Scholarship Committee at knightscouncil13408@gmail.com if you have any questions. The deadline for accepting the scholarship application is March 31, 2026.

The Knights Scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors who are registered parishioners of Saint Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and plan to attend either a community/junior college, four-year college/university, or a vocational/trade school during the 2026-2027 school year.

Corpus Christi Fishing Trip

KofC 13408 "CRABFEST V" is scheduled. 

The beach house and fishing guides have been secured.

The dates that has been chosen: Wednesday April 8th - Sunday April 12th

We will travel down on Wednesday,  Bay fish Thursday & Friday.  Go to the Beach on Saturday for some surf fishing, food, drinks, games and dinner out.  Get up Sunday morning, attend Mass then head back to Carrollton.

We will be fishing for Red fish, Black Drum, Speckle Trout and any thing else that will bite our hooks.

The guides will clean and package up our fish daily.

We have 14 beds...of the 14 beds, there are 3 upper bunks.  If you want one of these upper bunks or one of the 3 couches in the living room (Mr. Himes normally reserves one) ($25 discount off of final food cost) let me know.  

Tentative Itinerary:

Wednesday 4/8/26:  Drivers (4) will meet up at SVDP bldg @ 8:30am - Pack up items from Church kitchen....ice....Travel Day 7+ hours down to Corpus....stop and have lunch on the route down.  Dinner at the house once we arrive.  **Drivers will pick up whomever is riding with them prior to meeting up at 8:30am.**

Thursday 4/9/26:  quick breakfast (grab and go....have to be at the dock at 6am), Bay or Deep Sea Fishing...lunch on boat and dinner at the house.

Friday 4/10/26:  quick breakfast (grab and go....have to be at the dock at 6am), Bay Fishing...lunch on boat and dinner at the house.

Saturday 4/11/26:  Sleep in, 5 star breakfast cooked by your KofC Grilling Team, Beach for Surf Fishing and fun, Dinner out.

Sunday 4/12/26: Pack up, quick breakfast (at least an hour before mass), clean up house, Church at 8:30am (St. Paul the Apostle) Wear your Black KofC shirt, Drive home.....lunch on the road.

We will have 4 or 5 boats/guides (BAY  Fishing) - 4 max fishermen per boat (# of boats depends on final head count):  Depending on the fishermen numbers, we may have some boats with only 3 fishermen...so the cost will go up.  We will pay after the 2nd day of fishing for both days. (The fishing guide will accept Credit Cards and cash...Normally we pay with CC for the fishing and the tip we give them cash)

Cost (per day) for Bay fishing is $1050 per 4 person boat ($262.50 pp for 4). Plus tip.

House cost:  $2078.01 plus 3.5% Credit card fee:  Roughly: $2151 for 4 nights...pretty cheap accommodations :)

Rough estimate on cost will be in the $800 - $1000 range per person which includes accommodations, food, gas, traveling meals, and fishing.  All depends on how much and where you fish.  If you don't plan on fishing the cost will go down by $525 or so. Final cost depends on # of attendees. housing, and cost of food.  Adult beverages & cigars are BYOB.  

Please email know if you are interesting in attending. The first 14 that sign up get beds.  With 3 couches. We can fit 17....then we are going to floorspace. Let me know if you want a couch or upper bunk to get the discount from final food cost.
