Good works we do in support of our Mission

  • Jude Church Sunday coffee and cake acquisition and distribution
  • Sell St. Jude 50/50 tickets at Fish Frys, dinners, and the Fall Festival
  • Jude usher duties at the weekend and special holiday masses
  • Organize / $ fund, and conduct Fr. Richard 60th Anniversary Tribute
  • Jude & St. John Paul II Academy essay contests and provide winners $ awards
  • Scholarship program for local Catholic High Schools and provide winners $ awards
  • Volunteer and donate $ at The Soup Kitchen distributing food to the needy
  • Volunteer at Boca Helping Hands distributing food and supplies to the needy
  • Our $ contributions to K of C Supreme support national and Vatican charities
  • We support the food ministry collecting and donating food to the local pantries
  • Volunteer at Special Olympics to support special needs children
  • Jude Children’s Hospital $ donations, fundraising and run / walk

Knights of Columbus St. Jude, Boca Council 13172 Receives Top Award

ST. JUDE BOCA RATON KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL RECEIVES TOP AWARD

St. Jude Boca Raton Knights of Columbus Council 13172 has received the distinction of Double Star Council, for the fraternal year ending June 30, 2026. This is the international organization’s top award for local councils.   Thank you to past Grand Knight, SK Kurt Dombro for his council leadership achieving this award.

The Double Star Council Award recognizes achieving double the membership recruiting goal, promotion of fraternal insurance benefits, sponsorship of faith formation programs and service-oriented activities.

###

Overall, Star Awards recognize outstanding achievement in membership, insurance, council programming and activities, and overall operations. Earning a Star Award is the marker of a high performing Knights of Columbus unit and the goal to which every council, district, and assembly should strive. Star Council, Star District and Star Assembly Awards can be earned by completing criteria designed specifically for each division of the Knights of Columbus.

Some of the events and activities included: Service to the St. Jude Parish; multi-event volunteering, Catholic Scholarship programs, Knights elementary and high school essay contests, and Christmas Dinner Dance.  Community partnerships, events and service include: Boca Helping Hands, The Soup Kitchen (Boynton Beach), Special Olympics, Marlin’s baseball outing, St. Jude Children’s Hospital Palm Beach Walk fundraiser, and Knights Benefiting St. Jude Children’s Hospital annual fundraising dinner.

Membership in the Knights of Columbus is open to men 18 years of age or older who are practical (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See.
