Today after the Holy Mass Father Jerzy announced The Pilgrimage of the Cross of Gratitude arrived in Washington, DC.The mission of pilgrimage with the Cross of Gratitude to all the capitals of the world began with the words heard on the day of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in 2003: "Take up my Cross and bring it to all the capitals of the world as a sign of gratitude to Almighty God for our salvation, which we receive from Jesus Christ". On March 10, 2004, in the Vatican, the Holy Father John Paul II blessed the initiators of this mission. His successor, Pope Benedict XVI, blessed the cross in 2006 during a pilgrimage in Krakow. Pope Francis blessed the cross and all those leading the evangelization campaign in 2016.The peregrination of the cross has already taken place in 46 European capitals. The Cross of Gratitude made pilgrimages from Lvov, among others through Kiev, Warsaw, Rome, Paris, Berlin, the Baltic States, Scandinavia, and Great Britain, and now it has reached the Washington parish of Nativity (6000 Georgia Avenue N.W.) from October 9-17. On October 12 at 6:30 pm there will also be the Holy Mass in Polish, to which the parish priest of Nativity - Father PaweÅ‚ Sass - invites all Poles. Before the Holy Mass, we will sing Bitter Lamentations (Gorzkie Å»ale).Brother Knights, I strongly encourage all members of the Living Rosary and Knights to take part in the October 12,2021 Holy Mass. I also highly recommend that you inform and invite as many people as possible – families, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, etc. Let us come out and support this amazing event. Here is the full name and address of the church along with some information about the pastor:Church of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus202-726-6262Fr.
