PRESS RELEASE *** Golf-fore-Charity**** A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE Some facts below...

On 28th April, The Knights of Columbus Council #11116 from Our Lady of Joy Parish in Carefree Arizona completed the 24th annual Golf-Fore-Charity event raising over $170,000 for vetted council charities with a fun event at the Blackstone Country Club in Vistancia. Over $4 Million raised over the years.  This years' efforts accomplished with a 100% volunteer committee.  The committee was led by Knights Steve Strensrud (Chair), Nick Gaudio (Co-Chair) and Dennis Carda (Sponsor/Donor Lead). The council is led by Grand Knight Bob Zamary and Pastor Father Jess Ty.

Very generous donations from diamond, platinum, gold, silver and bronze level sponsors.  THANK YOU generous sponsors.   Portions of the proceeds support the local Saint Vincent dePaul Companion Animal Program and ongoing support to the San Carlos Catholic Apache Mission.

The event featured many hundred silent auction opportunities from generous donations from local businesses.

Planning has commenced for the 25 Year Anniversary Golf-Fore-Charity Milestone Event and we are looking forward to supporting our local charities yet again.

Important Safe Environment Training Information for 2023-2024

The Safe Environment Training year runs from July 1st and ends June 30th. This means that everyone's Safe Environment Training expired on July 1 and it is time to complete your Safe Environment Training for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. 

Please find below the instructions from our diocese regarding how to complete the Safe Environment Training Online Renewal for existing volunteers who have previously taken SET.

If you are a new volunteer who has never taken SET in our diocese, you should go to the link below and fill out the information under Register for a New Account, which will take you to the Online Foundation Class. (Note: only select the ONLINE Foundation Class, not the LIVE option).

  1. Begin your Safe Environment Training by clicking on the link: https://phoenix.cmgconnect.org. 
  2. Verify and update your Profile Information by clicking on the “Edit Profile” section on the left. 

Please make sure to indicate your primary ROLE. You can only pick one.  

Please make sure to indicate your primary CATEGORY. You can only pick one. 

  • Employee
  • Priest
  • Deacon
  • Candidate for Ordination
  • Volunteer
  • Educator (ONLY for Catholic School Teachers & Employees)

*Roles or Categories not listed above require prior authorization from your local SET Coordinator. 

  1. Please choose only ONE training under the “Required Trainings” to complete your SET requirement.
  2. Go to your “Dashboard” and click on the ONLINE Renewal Video.

* If you do not see an ONLINE Renewal option under “Required Trainings”, you must take the Online Foundation option
