MATER DOLORSA RETREAT
In the morning, while it was still very dark, Jesus got up and went out to a deserted place, and there he prayed (Mark 1:35). Several gospel passages refer to Jesus going to pray in remote places. Those who follow the way of Jesus can do likewise.
This year’s K of C Retreat will once again be held at Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center in Sierra Madre on the weekend of FEBRUARY 27TH- MARCH 1ST. The retreat, presented by the Passionist Retreat Team, begins on Friday evening with dinner and concludes around noon on Sunday.
The peaceful grounds of Mater Dolorosa make this a perfect spot for a weekend of spiritual enrichment and growth. I addition to the awesome meals and spectacular grounds, the retreat team offers inspirational talks on this year’s theme “Faith: Trusting In The God Who Waits For You”, as well as quiet time for Prayer, Mass, Confession, and Stations of the Cross.
This retreat weekend is for Knights of Columbus from Southern California, and our council has a limited number of spaces assigned. Friends and family (many men have brought their teen sons) are welcome.
If you have questions, send me a note at mmrotolo@gmail.com or call me at 310.505.3052Below is a link to register where you can hold your spot for $50. Balance can be paid at the retreat or on line. The suggested donation for the weekend is $315 which includes two nights lodging and five meals. No one is turned away because of financial inability to make the recommended donation so don’t let the cost influence your decision to attend.
