In today’s reflection, Deacon Arthur Miller reminds us that before we can share God’s Word with others, we must first allow it to transform our own hearts. God tells Ezekiel to eat the scroll—to take His Word completely into himself, allowing it to correct, nourish, and change him before he proclaims it to anyone else. In the Gospel, Jesus offers a similar lesson in humility when He places a child before His disciples and teaches that greatness in the Kingdom begins with becoming small enough to receive what God gives us. God does not require us to be extraordinary; He asks us to be open, humble, faithful, and willing. As Brother Knights, may we receive God’s Word before we speak it, allow it to shape the way we live, and then carry it into the world through humble service—especially to the vulnerable, the forgotten, and those who have wandered from the Lord.
