Council 13480 - Our Purpose

Charity has always been the first principle of the Knights of Columbus. We, the members of Holy Mother of Consolation Council 13480, are Catholic men of faith and men of charitable action. We endeavor to serve our families, our Parish, and our community. Our work focuses on directly helping those in need and raising funds that support local causes and organizations.

We strive to make our financial charity:

• Transparent and accountable
• Unburdened so that the proceeds of fundraising go directly to the organizations we support and those in need, not for overhead or other costs.
• Focused on our Parish, community, and Diocese.

We exist to serve the Knights of Columbus’ “4 Principles – 4 Reasons” philosophy:

• Charity to “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
• Unity to work together to accomplish more for the benefit of many.
• Fraternity in service, socially, and to care for widowed families.
• Patriotism in support of our great Nation and its citizens.

Our Council is a community of men who band together to not only help others, but to support each other in our faith, our families, and in our lives.
