SK Craig Priebe

Council 10232 recognizes SK Craig Priebe as the Knight of the Year for Fraternal Year 2023-24.
He supported the Grand Knight in achieving all his goals; supported the Council officers and Faith in Action Program Directors by gathering information from them and creating the Council’s Fraternal Year activity calendar; as the Council’s overall Program Director, continuously collaborated all the Faith in Action Program Directors (Faith, Family, Community, and Life) to achieve their program activities to meet and exceed the Columbian Award requirements levied by State
and Supreme. He attends almost all daily morning Masses and weekend Masses; provides guitar accompaniment and sings for the Church Choir; member of Parish’s weekly Intercessory Prayer Group; stays in contact with the Parish Priest for all the Council activities; assists the Grand Knight for
all matters with the Church activities and the Council; volunteered to be the Council’s Director of Evangelization & Faith Formation. SK Priebe was the single most important person for this Council to ensure we achieve all the tasks and requirements set by State and Supreme. SK Priebe was recognized as the Runner Up for Knight of the Year by the Alabama State Council for this fraternal year at the State Convention in April, 2024.

2022 - 2023

Chris Pate

Chris is a young man who is a recent convert to the Catholic faith and member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Chris currently serves as the Council Outside Guard, and also proudly serves as an usher. Council 10232 is very proud to claim Brother Pate as a member of the council since his conversion in 2020. Chris is an extremely enthusiastic, dedicated, and proud member of Council 10232, and despite his limitations due to being intellectually challenged he has set the pace for other members. He is always first in line to volunteer for council events such as handing out Tootsie Rolls for the Developmentally Disabled and Special Olympics. He helps with cooking at numerous events. He is a dedicated blood drive volunteer, and single handedly setup a council bowling social. Chris is also one of the council’s most energetic recruiters and is always seen talking to men about the benefits of being a member of our council and the Knights of Columbus. Chris is also an exceptionally proud member of our 4th degree Assembly and has participated in several Assembly projects. He recently purchased his uniform and will be participating in our honor guards and color guards. These things may not seem like hard activities, but for a young man who has limitations and is aware of them, and despite his challenges and through enormous effort on his part, he achieves success. Brother Pate is an inspiration to those who are more able bodied. It is apparent by all who meet this young man that Chris lives for his family and brother Knights and will always be at your side if you need him. His dedication to his family, church, and volunteer projects are to be commended and celebrated. Our council asked our members, how can we honor and pay tribute to such a dedicated and humble brother of Council 10232. The answer was unanimous! He is Council 10232’s Knight of the Year for Fraternal Year 2022-2023!

2021 - 2022

Carlos Fernandez

Brother Carlos not only serves as the Worthy Chancellor for the council and the Health Director for the Alabama State Council, he is also the Faithful Navigator for Assembly 2420. He is one who can always be counted on, whenever and for whatever the task calls for. I am honored to work alongside him, and I am grateful to have him in our organization.
