Pat and Vicky Nash

As you can see from the positions Pat currently holds, and has held in the past, he is very involved with the Knights. He has been an integral part of the Council since our time as a Round Table. After Pat's time as Grand Knight, he assumed the equally important job as programs director and ensured the Council met all the requirements for Star Council and tracked all the 10784 submissions. His administrative skill and attention to detail is vital to our Council and our continued success. Additionally, Pat's son-in-law, Tom Childress, is our Council's Membership Director, Webmaster, and Communications director. Vicky supports our Council by helping with events like Agape fellowship events, Bless Fest, Nite at the Races, and the Parish picnics. Pat and Vicky are invovled in numerous Parish ministries. Pat is a member of the Finance Committee, documents all the weekly soft donations, spends 9 hours a month cleaning the Parish with Merciful Hands, is a member of St. George Safety & Security Ministry, cuts the grass on Parish grounds, is a lector and leads Rosary prayers, and assists with all Knights events that support Father Joy and the Parish. Vicky prepares the bulletin twice a month, as a member of the Rosary ministry she leads 3-5 Rosary prayers a month, as a member of the Adoration ministry she leads adoration prayers once a month, and as the lead of the Eucharistic Ministry she trains all new Eucharistic ministers and schedules ministers for all Masses. Pat is our main point of contact and the treasurer of our annual Tootsie Roll 5K Run and was personally responsible for tracking, documenting, and disbursing funds for the event. This co-effort with Council 10232 resulted in a donation to the Montgomery City Schools of $7249.54 this year from our Council alone. Additionally, Pat was involved with our annual Meatball Sandwich sale that also went toward the Intellectual Disabilities Drive. Vicky spends her days baby-sitting her grandchildren an average of 80 hours a month to allow her two daughters to work outside their home. Additionally, she provides support, companionship, and medical advice to Pat's 91-year old mother that now lives with them. Finally, Vicky supports an ailing parishioner by praying the Divine Praises Prayer (over telephone) on average 6 times per week. Pat and Vicky Nash are involved in almost every ministry at Most Merciful Jesus Catholic Parish and their support of Council 17519 is unfailing. They set a stellar example for all families to follow with their unselfish donation of their time and talents to help others. Their love of God and the Parish shines through in everything they do. Perhaps their total dedication to our Parish is best exemplified by their support of the Capital Campaign to build our permanent church. The Nash family developed, planned, and executed a fundraiser called Nite at the Races. They led a team of four Knights and 15 other volunteers in the execution of Most Merciful Jesus Catholic Parish Capital Campaign's major fundraising event. Event drew 190 participants and over $12,000. Pat and Vicky Nash are outstanding Ambassadors of the Knights and Mercy Parish!
