2024 - 2025

Gilchrist

The family of the year for 2024 are the Dan and Carla Gilchrist family. Dan and Carla lead the St Therese Foundation, which since 2007 has raised more than $500,000 and completed 65 clean water projects in Africa. These projects have saved countless lives and improved living conditions in the world's poorest regions throughout Uganda and Kenya.

2023 - 2024

Karcheski

With great joy we honor the Karcheski's as Family of the Year 2023

Jeff has been a Knight for 39 years and is a member of the 4th Degree Honor Guard. He
has held several officer positions at the council and assembly levels and also serves his Parish as a mass greeter and usher. Jeff is an active member of the parish Holy Name Society and can be found at most HNS Pancake Breakfast's helping out. Additionally, he is our council 'Meeting Cook' making many delicious meals for our membership.

A big task Sue & Jeff have recently tackled for us is running our Facebook / Web pages, turning both into the premier sites found in our area. Sue's photography helps document each event while Jeff keeps everyone updated by writing about each event. He also keeps tabs on events happening throughout the Stevens Point deanery to update our membership on upcoming area events. They make a great team to help document our council history.

Jeff and his daughter Jenna participated in St Bron's choir for several years, until she went off to college. When she first joined, Jenna was the youngest choir member to sing and play trumpet. She recently graduated from SPASH as their class valedictorian and now attends UW-Madison studying Astro Physics, Mathematics, Computer AI Engineering.

Sue taught CCD 8 years at 2 different parishes in the deanery. She is an active gardener donating her beautiful flowers to church, nursing homes, funerals, the sick, and to friends. Sue uses her florist talents to helps decorate the church as a part of the Parish Arts Environment Committee.

We are honored to have Jeff and Sue Karcheski as our Family of the Year for 2023.

The amount of charity the Feltz family gives to our parish family is incalculable. Whether it’s their delicious food products for various events, their time at the festival or other various ministries at church, they do these acts with a divine spirit of joy and gratitude that is evident for all to see. Not only are you well deserving of this monthly award, but it’s also an honor to award you as our council’s 2022 Family of the year.
