Michael Francis Johns 84, of Carmel passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on May 25, 2012. He was born in Maidstone, Ontario, Canada on April 24, 1928 to Michael and Camilla John. He was one of 10 children. He was in management for Coca-Cola for 28 years in charge in special events including the Indianapolis 500. He started Carmel Landscaping and Design for 15 years retiring in 2002. He is member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly 2740 and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church where he was an active parishioner, past parish counsel member, Eucharistic Minister, Buildings and Grounds and Christ Renews His Parish. He was past Carmel Hockey Team coach and Junior Achievement member. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies, opera music, meeting his friends for breakfast club, reading, gardening, coaching, boating, roller blading and biking. Michael is survived by six daughters, Carol (Tom) McCrory, Janice (Rex) Zenor, Deborah (Calvin) King, Michelle (Phil) Clarke, Anne (Jack) Quade and Lizbeth (John) Wiggins; former wife, Angela; brother, Joe Johns; sister, Mary Coyle; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by first wife, Barbara.
