Harlin T. Lunsford 86, Carmel, passed away, Tuesday, April 29th, 2008. He was born January 13, 1922 on his parents' farm in Macon, Missouri. He was the son of the late Edgar Milam Lunsford and Nannie Belle Cleaver Lunsford. Harlin earned his B.S. in Business from the University of Missouri in 1947 after serving in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Harlin along with his wife ran a manufacturer's representative firm in Carmel, IN for twenty five years. He earned a reputation for reliability and honesty in the world of plumbing products sales and marketing. Harlin was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Montgomery Lunsford; son, Gregory (died at birth); brother, Virgil Edwin Lunsford and sister, Gladys Belle Lunsford Burkhart. He is survived by sons, Michael (wife Jennifer) of Zionsville and Paul (wife Denise) of Carmel; granddaughters, Sara and Katherine and grandsons, Paul, Daniel and Trevor. Harlin was a long time member of Our Lady of Carmel church and was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Fr. McDonald chapter of the Knights of Columbus. Harlin and his wife both enthusiastically worked as members of the Prolife Committees and the Lay Missionaries of Charity at church. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Carmel, IN, where Rosary Services will be at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Church.
