Robert "Bobby" Dean Grande, 75, of Carmel, passed away suddenly June 28, 2016. He was born on December 18, 1940 in Miami, FL to the Vincent and Helen Blackwell Grande. Bobby was a 1958 graduate of St. Patricks in Miami. In 2006 he moved to Carmel, IN. After serving in the US Army for 18 years, Bobby retired in 1986 and continued to serve in the US Army Reserve. He was proud to be a Viet Nam war veteran. Bobby was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he earned the 4th degree Knight.
Bobby enjoyed riding his bicycle and walking. Often he would ride his bicycle to Jack's Donuts, which was one of his favorite places to visit because he "loved donuts" as well as ice cream. Bobby also enjoyed watching football; he was a Colts fan as well as an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. Even though Bobby chose to be quiet and to himself, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and was involved in Merciful Helps Ministry as well as other ministries and charities.
In addition to his father, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Vincent Grande, Jr and sister-in-law, Edna Grande.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna-Maria Cash; brother, Frank Grande; sister, Terry Rose; grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, Ashley and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Logan, Payton, Ashton, Payne, Angela and Niaih; nieces, Jeryl, Gretta and Gina, nephew, Ronald and former wife, Marie Cleary.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10 am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oakridge Road, Carmel, IN 46032 and where the Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 12 noon. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery. |
