Dean Goodwin 81, of Carmel, died February 25, 2009. Dean was born July 28, 1927 in Shirley, IN to the late Lovell and Mae (Ware) Goodwin. He was a graduate of Carthage High School and attended The University of Evansville and IUPUI. Dean served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a Manager in Foodservice for over 25 years prior to his retirement. Following his retirement from the foodservice industry he worked many years for Electronic Strategies Incorporated. Dean was a faithful servant of the Lord, an active parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus, Lt. General Timothy J. Maude Assembly, and was previously a member of the Bishop Chatard Assembly. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Vania Goodwin; his mom, Ruth Goodwin; daughters, Ruth (Bill) Loeper and Jayni Goodwin; grandsons, Brian and Ethan Loeper; brothers, David (Wilma) and Jerry (Doris); sister, Louise Baldock; several nieces and nephews; and by his Brazilian family. |
