ROGER NIMON OBITUARY
Roger Paul Nimon passed away peacefully Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Glen Rose at the age of 73. Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Frances Cabrini, followed by a reception. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Roger's life. Interment: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Vigil: 6 p.m. Monday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole with visitation until 8 p.m. Memorials: Catholic Charities, Tarrant Area Food Bank or St. Frances Cabrini Parish Building Fund. Roger was born Aug. 25, 1942, in Fort Worth. He graduated from Birdville High School in 1960, served in the Air Force for four years, and attended the University of Texas at Arlington. Roger retired to Pecan Plantation after 38 years of service at Bell Helicopter. He lived a very active life being involved in many charities and his community. He was a 4th degree honor guard member of the Knights of Columbus and a past Grand Knight. He enjoyed playing golf, reading, traveling and spending quiet time with friends and family. The family would like to thank Dr. Carpenter, Shelly and staff for their continued care and support throughout his illness, and Denise, Connie and Annette and all of the many loving nurses who cared for him. Much gratitude also goes to the staff of Universal Hospice. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Janie Nimon of Haltom City; and his wife, Sylvia Souliere Nimon. Survivors: Wife of 30 years, Evelyn; daughter, Claire McMullin (Ken); sons, Russell Nimon, Christopher Beeson (Kathy) and Michael Beeson (Tracey); grandchildren, Randall, Mackenzie and Rylen Nimon, Dusti and Shay Beeson, Taylor, Justin and Joshua Beeson; and sister, Fran Rogers (Gary).
