Alex Preciado, Sr. of McKinney, Texas, passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born on February 17, 1944, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, to his loving parents, Jose Preciado and Maria (Magdaleno) Preciado.

Alex graduated from Cathedral High School in El Paso, Texas in 1962 before enlisting active duty in the US Marine Corp. After which, he attended the University of Texas at El Paso, where he earned his degree in Business Administration in 1969. That same year, on September 25, he married the love of his life, Susana Preciado, in El Paso, Texas. They shared a lifetime of love, family, and adventure.

A dedicated public servant, having worked for the US Department of Labor and having transferred to the Social Security Administration, Alex retired from Social Security Administration after a long and distinguished career. His commitment to service extended beyond his profession—he also proudly served in the Army Reserve and Naval Reserve, having been deployed during Operation Desert Storm. He served on the USS Mercy and received the National Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He was also a proud 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was loved by many.

Alex’s funeral services will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church 1515 North Greenville Ave, Allen, Texas 75002. His Rosary will be on Saturday February 8th at 10:00 AM with Mass to follow at 10:30 AM. Inurnment will be at St. Jude Catholic Church immediately following his Mass where he will be placed alongside his wife Susana Preciado.
