Merven passed away on April 1, 2024. He is survived by his wife Betty, daughters, Debbie, Patty (Kurt) and Terri, grandchildren Amanda (Joe), William (Rachael), Katie and Charles, greatgrandchildren Ava, Mia, and Viktor, his brother Russell and many nieces and nephews. He was born and raised in Wisconsin. He graduated from Purdue University. Merven’s career spanned a wide range of engineering positions and he retired from NASA in 1995. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. His lifelong love of golf began when he worked as a caddy as a teenager. He enjoyed cribbage, reading, puzzles, travel, bowling and volunteering. He had great stories of growing up on a farm. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life reception will be held Friday April 19th from 10am-12pm at Colonial Heritage Clubhouse, 6500 Arthur Hills Drive, Williamsburg VA 23188. |
