Alfredo Guajardo
Alfredo "Fred" Guajardo passed away July 20, 2024. He was born on March 28, 1933 to Domingo and Maria Guajardo in Brazos, Texas. He grew up in a family with 13 brothers and sisters.
Fred was the husband to Aurora Madrigal Guajardo and the father to three sons Alfredo, Dominic and Victor. Mr. Guajardo had 4 grandchildren and other step grandchildren. He treated them all the same and treated them like family.
Mr. Guajardo had a giving heart, always showing compassion and respect to others. He was proud of his work as a heavy lift maintenance operator for Halliburton and then working for other gas and oil businesses before retiring. He found no enjoyment in retirement and then worked for AutoZone for 10 years. He was in his late 70's when he could no longer work anymore due to health issues. Mr. Guajardo was drafted into the Army for the Korean conflict. He then served all his years of service honorably in France. Mr. Guajardo was a very good provider and a very patient father. He sent one son to the Army and another to college; his youngest son Victor is the most like him.
Visitation will be held 6-8 Wednesday with a Rosary at 6:30 at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 10 am Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
