ASSEMBLY #2152 - MSGR. JAMES T. WEBER REMEMBERS
JOSEPH J KEANEY
MARCH 2024

Joseph "Joe" Keaney was called home to be with the Lord on March 25, 2024. He was surrounded by his children and wife of sixty-three years, Joan. Joe was born on February 23, 1938, in Orange, New Jersey. He attended Catholic schools in West Orange, New Jersey and graduated from Rutgers University in 1970 with a degree in business. Joe and Joan moved to Tucson, Arizona, in 1977 and quickly found a new home with the community of St. Pius X Catholic Church where they attended for forty-three years. Joe was a lector and volunteered his time serving with the Knights of Columbus for many years. Joe is survived by his wife, Joan; children Kevin, Paul and his wife Laurie, Eileen, John, and six grandchildren: Mitchell, Nathan, Reily, Darby, Matthew, and Julia. Joe will always be remembered for his contagious smile, warm hugs, and firm handshake. He was a kind and thoughtful man who took time to talk with those around him. A Celebration of Life mass will be held at St. Pius X in Tucson, Arizona, on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, kindly donate to the St Pius X Chapter of the Knights of Columbus or the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Joseph Keaney.
