WILLIAM TURNER OBITUARY
William Austin Turner 85, graduated to his heavenly home on June 8, 2022.

He was born in San Antonio on June 18, 1936, to William Alvin and Estelle Brown Turner.

He graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1955. He served in the Air Force Reserves for 5 years before joining the San Antonio Police Department in 1960. He served in many units, including the first official SWAT team and the evidence gathering unit, which he enjoyed so much before retiring after 34 years of dedicated service. He was also a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for 60 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother and his wife of 52 years, Mary Brichetto Turner who died in 2009.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Leslie Craig and husband Randell, Laura Hamblen and husband Jory and son Carl Austin Turner and wife Tina. He had 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 nephews.

Bill, as he was known to many, was a Godly man, a great example of someone who loved to help others.
