Hector Julian Herbeck joined the Lord on May 5, 2021, at the age of 92. He is survived by wife Estela; children Marie & Peter Bauml and Yvonne & Brian Bauml; grandchildren Marcus & Cindy, Catherine & Jason, Lauren, Matthew & Nydia, and Andrew; nine great-grandchildren; sister Edna; and sister-in-law Roberta.
Hector was a man of character and love, who committed his life to serving God, family, and his community. A native of Laredo, Texas, Hector graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy, served in the U.S. Air Force, served as a civil servant in Technical Services at Kelly AFB, and later founded a commercial and residential brokerage.
In his commitment to service, he served as President of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, was a lifetime member of The Knights of Columbus 786, and Past Commander of Alhambras Bejar #56.
Hector is preceded in death by parents Alberto & Maria Herbeck; siblings Hugo, Viola, Irma, and Albert; and son-in-law Alex.
