William Sylvester Fitzpatrick, 103, passed away June 24, 2022. He was born November 23, 1918, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Thomas and Mary Fitzpatrick. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines Corps during WWII. He was a track foreman for Belmont Racetrack for 45 years. Bill was a longtime member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church and a 75-year member of Knights of Columbus. He loved traveling and had visited destinations all over the world. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Road, Fishers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road, Fishers. Bill is survived by his son, Steven Schubert (Donna); two grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Coppell) Fitzpatrick; his second wife, Clare (Young) Fitzpatrick; stepson, Albert Schubert; and two sisters, Noreen Cleary, and Mary Lopez. |
