Henry Francis Kordik, age 84, of Bear, DE went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. He was born and raised in Chicago, IL. He attended St. Joseph Seminary in Missouri for his freshman year, and then returned to Chicago to finish school. Henry served in the U.S. Army in the early 1950’s. After his tour of duty in Germany, he returned home and joined the 1st National Bank of Chicago. Henry worked at the bank in Illinois until 1987, when he was transferred to the new Delaware site. He worked 40 years for the bank before retiring and opening his own cleaning company, Klean & Tidy Cleaning Specialists, Inc. Henry had the company for 7 years.

Henry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judi; two daughters: Kathleen Tucker (Brian) and Susan Pipari (fiancé, James Anderson); and 5 grandchildren: Christopher Tucker, Patrick Tucker (Jaida), Matthew Tucker, Ashley Pipari,and Joseph Pipari.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, September 21, 2020 from 6-8 PM at the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 22 at 11 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 345 Bear-Christiana Road, Bear, DE 19701. A Committal service with military honors will follow at 1 PM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
