Gene Wilson Hall, age 90, of Bear, DE, went home to be with the Lord peacefully and quietly, Friday, January 4, 2019. Gene proudly served his country in the US Navy. He made many happy memories with family and friends while cruising to various ports and traveling through the US. He was an avid Steelers and Phillies fan. Throughout his life, he enjoyed fishing, woodworking, hunting and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Gene could also be found reading his favorite authors, Steven King and Robin Cook. He will be greatly missed and always treasured.

Gene is survived by his wife, Maxine Hall; sons, John A. Hall and Gregory P. Carpenter; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Antoinette Hall; parents, John and Emma Hall; and 3 sisters.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2019, from 9-10 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 345 Bear Christiana Rd., Bear, DE 19701 followed by a Memorial Mass at 10 AM. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. For directions or to send an online condolence visit www.stranofeeley.com
