Presentation of the Family of the Year Award was made at our Christmas and Awards Banquet held on December 9 at the Caboto Club by our Faithful Navigator SK Marc J. Morneau.
For their long standing work in support of the Pro Life movement in Windsor Essex along with the dedication and commitment to our Assembly and at Council level including a member of our Honour Guard this special couple is a well deserved recipient of the this presentation. |

SK Br. Michel Sassine |

His commitment and loyalty to the Order is without question impressive.
He served as a Grand Knight in 2009-2010, was appointed to the position of District Deputy from 2015 through 2017.
He then accepted the role of our Faithful Captain 2019, again through 2022 and was acclaimed for another term through June of 2023.
Last year when we reactivated our formal Honour Guard, he led the charge supported by many of our Officers to join accepting the new uniform and has been a leading supporter of the guard since.
He continues to serve as the District Deputy having returned to this position in 2020 and in his spare time – he continues to be active at his home Council at St. Peter`s serving as their Chancellor for the last several years.
A proud and distinguished Catholic gentleman, an honest, hardworking family man and a credit to his family, his Council our Assembly and the Knights of Columbus as a whole.
I know everyone will join me in congratulating SK Michel Sassine as the 2022 Knight of the Year of the Dean Wagner Assembly.

SK Br. Francesco (Frank) Gualtieri |

S.K. Paul Brownlie had the pleasure of presenting the Sir Knight of the Year Award to S.K. Francesco (Frank) Gualtieri at our June general meeting. S.K. Frank has served our Assembly faithfully since he was exemplified 13 years ago. He has served as our Faithful Comptroller for the last 10 years and is beginning his 11th term in this key position.
S.K. Frank has been a Knight since joining Holy Family Council 4386 in 2007. Beyond his commitment to our Order he serves his parish at St. Angela Merici as a member of their Parish Council. This recognition of S.K. Frank is very well deserved as a Sir Knight who demonstrates his commitment to our Order, his Church and his Family! I know in my time here with our Assembly, I have come to know S.K. Frank as a model Knight, a true Catholic gentleman and family man, who supports our Order’s 4 Founding Principals of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
