| The Fr. John P. Washington Assembly is proud to announce the Sir Knight of the Month for July 2025 is our newly installed Faithful Captain, SK Mark Mulvaney. The award was presented at the Installation of Officers Ceremony on July 25th with our Worthy District Master, SK Kelly Mortensen, assisting. Mark brought great credit upon himself in a very short period of time by planning and scheduling all the Assembly’s social events from July through December. Excellent work Worthy Captain! |

The Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Civic Award recognizes local Fourth Degree Assemblies for exemplary patriotic activities that promote responsible citizenship and national pride.
It honors assemblies that demonstrate the Fourth Degree’s core virtue of patriotism, established in 1900 as the highest level of Knighthood, building on principles of charity, unity, and fraternity. Assemblies must conduct and report at least four varied patriotic programs during the fraternal year, such as honoring first responders, supporting veterans, or leading prayer events. |

(Tom) Carroll is recognized as the Sir Knight of the Month in appreciation of his outstanding performance as Faithful Captain in planning and executing the Installation of Assembly Officers for Fr. Michael Bader Assembly, John F. Kennedy Assembly and Fr. John P. Washington Assembly. In addition, SK Carroll was responsible for the planning and execution of the Installation Dinner which following the Installation of Officers Ceremonial. SK Carroll demonstrated the core values of the Order; Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. |

The Sir Knight of the Month for September 2017 is SK John T. Bryant, III.
SK Bryant has been a member of the Fourth Degree since November 5, 2016 and has demonstrated his patriotism and leadership by participating in most activities. He is the Chancellor of Yorktown Council 7469 and an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church where he is the lead on the bereavement committee and a lector at daily Mass. SK Bryant’s wife, Mary Anna, is a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for Council 7469. |

| SK Roland Theriault is the Sir knight of the Month for October 2017. SK Theriault serves as the "Quartermaster" for the assembly and, among other items, is the custodian of the flags for the color corps. SK Theriault keeps the assembly's flags in top shape and is usually present at all color corps events. His attention to detail and his support of the assembly and the color corps demonstrate the highest ideals of the Fourth Degree. |

The Sir Knight of the Month for November is SK Stephen V. Benson, PFN. Steve continues to display the highest standards of Knighthood with his participation is multiple assembly events.
During the recent illness and absence of Faithful Comptroller Randy Vis, Steve stepped in without complaint and acted as a surrogate Faithful Comptroller so that the business of the assembly could continue while SK Vis recovered from surgery. There was no obligation for Steve to do this, he did it out of loyalty to the Order.

| The Sir Knight of the Month for December is SK Bryan J.E. Daniel. Bryan is a new Sir Knight but has already stepped into the color guard. Bryan was so looking forward to being a Fourth Degree Knight that he bought the old regalia before he was exemplified. He then bought the new uniform. Bryan has participated in both Honor Guard and Color Guard functions and we look forward to his continued contributions to the Order. |

The Sir Knight of the Month for January 2018 is Sir Knight Terry M. Fairman our Color Corps Commander.
SK Fairman is an excellent Color Corps Commander. His knowledge and discipline have contributed to making our Color Corps the best in the Virginia District. He is a busy man and is currently the Grand Knight of Yorktown Council 7469, active at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and employed full time by Newport News Shipbuilding. Despite the many demands on his time he remains active and committed to the Color Corps.

SK Jimmy Trentham, PKG, PFN worked tirelessly to insure the continuity of leadership of Assembly 2184. Although he transitione to Faithful Admiral June 30 2018 he continued to train the new Faithful Navigator, Faithful Comptroller and Faithful Purser.. He promised to continue providing guidance to any officer that needed help fullfilling their position and to continue helping with documents needed to complete technical requirements for activities and ceremonies. His expertise and technical skills are without a doubt beyond reproach and certainly has been valuable to all he has helped.
SK Jimmy Trentham deserves to be honored as SK of The Month for his dedication and continued support to all who sought his help.
