Tony is a member of the Greatest Generation, and proudly served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II.  He has been kind enough to share with us his recollections in the attached document.  He served primarily onboard LST 687.  A small picture gallery is available on our site as well.

As we are members of the Patriotic Degree of the Knights of Columbus, I commend to you the attached article, "Patriot's Primer on American Liberty," written by Mark Alexander, Publisher of the Patriot Post.  It's a little long, but a good read.  The article is 50 pages and then he's included the full text of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Amendments thereto.  Enjoy.

All Saints Assembly - Chalice Ceremony Team
 

Anyone that has seen the Chalice Ceremony knows it is an impressive ceremony.  It is an important ceremony because it is how we pay our final respects to the earthly remains of a dear departed Sir Knight.  

However, unlike Degrees which can be scheduled months in advance, the notice for Chalice ceremony can be as little as 2 days.  For this reason, we would be smart to have multiple people available for each of the 4 roles.

A. Commander

B. Lecturer

C. Poet

D. Chalice Bearer

The ceremony is short, so the memorization is not lengthy, and as this is a public ceremony, document security is not an issue.  If you are interested contact the Color Corps Commander, Ramon Betancourt, who can be reached by e-mail through either the Officer or Members List.
