The following is a partial list of events that the SKs can participate in during the upcoming fraternal year:

 

4 July - Independence Day Parade in Yorktown

14 July - Tidewater South Installation of Officers

Sep - Color Corps Training (date TBD) - emphasize marching in parades

Fall - Honor Flight (salute veterans when they return from DC)

First Weekend in November - Special Olympics (present Colors/honor participants)

11 Nov - Veteran's Day Parade

End of Nov - Norfolk Christmas Parade

Early Dec - Chesapeake Christmas Parade

Dec - Wreaths Across America

Jan - Color Guard Competition (tentative) 

17 March - St Patrick's Day Parade (Oceanview)

April - NATO Parade (Norfolk)

Spring - Daffodil Parade in Gloucester 

Spring - Honor Flight (salute veterans when they return from DC)

Spring - Color Corps Training (date TBD) - emphasize posting of the Colors

Memorial Day - Wreath Presentation Ceremony, Virginia Beach

Late May - Armed Forces YMCA Heart for Heroes fishing trip (need knights to assist some of the vets during the fishing trips)

Feast of Corpus Christi - various churches perform Euchartistic Processions and would like SKs in ORD to participate in the processions.

 

Please coordinate with your successors when planning for the upcoming year and consider participating in these events.
