TIME TO ASSEMBLE: 11:00 am -- RELEASE TIME: 1:15 pm

Postponed due to the expectation of high winds.

Nov. 9th, 2025---Flag Retirement will be Indoors at Our Lady of Angels- the Patriotic Ceremony will be from 12:15PM-12:30PM; after the Ceremony, the Flags will be Dissected & Retired outdoors to the Right- Light Food, & Snacks will be served.

For Dissecting the Flags, you will need: 1 sharp pair of Scissors. 

The Process is:

1. First the grommets need to be removed.

2. The Stars or canton it is called, need to be separated from the Stripes.

3.  Every-other Stripes will be dissected as well (Red /White together.)

4.   One Flag will remain uncut as that will be Dissected at the actual Flag Retirement ceremony.

We appreciate all the help in advance, so thank you all.

As 4th Degree Sir Knights, we are encouraged to attend & participate in this Honorable Patriotic activity. This is Not just about Dissecting & Retiring our Flags, it is most of all, paying Respects & Homage to all those Patriotic Heroes who gave their lives in all Wars & Battles at home & abroad for our Flag & Country; we owe the Hero Men & Women our Presence & Respect! It is our Duty as Sir Brother Knights!

So far approximately 250 Flags have been collected.

Date of the Flag Retirement Ceremony is: Sunday, November 9, 2025.

Time of the Flag Retirement Ceremony is: 12:00 Noon. Assembly Time is 11:15 A.M. in The Parish Center First Floor.

Location of the Flag Retirement Ceremony is: Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church.

The address of the Retirement Ceremony is: 1914 Ridgeview Drive, Allen, Texas, 75013.

I am planning to be there about 11:00 A.M. to Ensure the Flags are Ready for Retirement.

If you are available to Serve please let me know. Family Members are also welcome to attend this Ceremony.
