COLOR CORPS FOR VETERANS' DAY PARADE

Parade Info with highlight of KofC parking area and meeting point

Sir Knights in ORD are needed to march the Colors in the parade.  Only Color Corps are needed this year.

- Inclement weather: Notification of cancellation or changes by the Parade organizers is expected by 6 AM that day. An update will be posted here as soon as reasonably possibly if an announcement is received.

- Sign up here for ASM 1505 members, or reply to Wayne Phelps, CCC at cc1505@vakofc.org.  See who in ASM 1505 has signed up.

- Show time no later than 8 AM, vehicle parking will be at North Lot #2 west of the Convention Center at 1000 19th St., Virginia Beach, VA 23451. See map in Parade Info document above. KofC shuttle service is available by SK Christian Chenard in a copper brown Suburban from parking lot to the parade start. On your own, feel free to drop off near 15th Street, keeping in mind that Atlantic Ave and proximity will be limited to parade vehicles only, or you can walk to 15th Street from the parking area if you arrive early enough.

- Form up by 8:15 AM on 15th Street at Atlantic Ave for flag and honor guard assignments and final instructions.  See map in Parade Info document above for location. KofC Color Corps is assigned Unit #14 in the parade.

- Parade will begin at 9 AM

1. Parade route will start at 16th and Atlantic Ave, left turn onto Va Beach Blvd, right onto Mediterranean  Ave, and left onto 19th Street to reviewing stand at Virginia Beach Convention Center.  Parade ends at the Double Tree Hotel.


2. Flags and harnesses will be provided by ASM 1505.


3. KofC Group Photo will be done at the end, off the road and out of the way of other parade groups


4. Registered Assemblies (other assemblies can join us): 1505 – FATHER NICHOLAS HABETS and 2588 – FATHER MICHAEL J MCGIVNEY
