James E. Grant, Jr. 63, St. Joseph, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
James was born on October 30, 1950, and raised in Clinton, Mo., to James Edward and Loraine (Cole) Grant Sr.
He served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and St. Francis Xavier Council # 15126, Knights of Columbus.
James was preceded in death by his father.
James married Vickie Deen on July 11, 1981, in St. Joseph. She survives of the home. Additional surviving family includes, son, Jeffery Grant, of St. Joseph; daughter, Nicole Grant, Ozark, Mo.; mother, Loraine Grant; sisters, Carolyn (Gene) Kalwei, Patty St. Louis, Kathy (Gary) Jones and Joan Grant; brother, Ron Grant; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment: Quitman Cemetery, Quitman, Mo.
