It is my sad duty to report the passing of PGK/SK James E. Kendall, a Past Grand Knight of our Council, on April 5, 2025, in Williamsburg, Virginia. PGK/SK Kendall joined the Knights through the St. John Bosco Council in 2003 and served as Grand Knight in 2010-2011. He also joined the Fourth Degree at Marian Assembly in 2006.
Jim was a veteran of the United States Navy, graduated from Akron North High School, Stark Technical College and Strayer University. After the Navy, he worked in civilian contract positions for Raytheon and Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space. After moving to Williamsburg, he transferred to the Saint Bede Council and was an active member of the Saint Bede parish. His greatest passion was his family, and he did very little without them by his side.
He leaves behind his wife of 43 years Donna (Gallo) Kendall, children James (Christina), Angela (John), granddaughters Giulia and Sofia Kendall, sister Shea Karen Hazel, nephews, Robert and Billy Hazel, brother-in-law Rocco Gallo (Josephine), nieces Jacqueline Guinto (Matt), Laurie Cole, and Michelle Wright. He was predeceased by his brother Philip Wright, mother Patty Marmaduke and father Donald Kendall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association and/or the American Kidney Foundation. A Mass of Christian burial was held at Saint Bede Roman Catholic Church in Williamsburg on April 25, 2025. |
