Born in the Bronx, Tom was the eldest son of Tom and Irene Crean. He was raised in New Jersey before attending Fordham University for both an undergraduate and law degree. Thomas dedicated his life to service, spending 28 years in the Army JAG Corps, where he honorably served his country with distinction and integrity. Following his military career, he continued his commitment to justice as an administrative law judge.
A devout Catholic, Thomas’s faith was central to his life. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures, like reading the daily newspaper. He knew every answer on Jeopardy!, loved watching cop shows, and reveled in his Irish heritage. But his greatest happiness came from his family, whom he adored beyond measure. The feeling was mutual.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Donna; his daughters Kelly and Katie; sons-in-law Richard and Dan; and six cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his sisters Maureen Paul and Geraldine (John) Hughey, a brother Billy (Pat) Crean and a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
