COUNCIL INFORMATION
Our History
The Knights of Columbus Council #11599 was established in 1995 on June 12 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in San Antonio Texas. Fifty members started the council and is now well over a hundred and seventy members and growing strong. The Knights of Columbus is a fraternal benefits organization that is committed to helping out charities, such as building a Habitat for Humanity House, Honoring our Clergy with an annual banquet and tootsie Roll Drive that funds the Deaf Program for the Archdiocese of San Antonio. If you are a male, 18 years of age or older and a practicing Catholic at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and feel the need to start making a difference to improving and committed to make your community a better place, then please prayerfully consider joing our council. Or perhaps you have retired or have been retired and have some of that extra free time, then we can use your talent in many of our programs. Our council mission is to work closely with St. Rose of Lima Parish, providing manpower and funds for various projects. We are an active council and have participants in most of the work of the parish like Eucharistic ministers, Lectors and ushers. Being a Knight is more than just camaraderie, it is an organization world wide that is committed to CHARITY, UNITY, FRATERNITY, and PATRIOTISM. We particpate in Elf Louise programs, help out our military, and many other programs. The Knights are involved in helping our youth, our church and community become stronger and repected.
