The international Knights of Columbus Day of Prayer for the
Unborn Child offers a special opportunity to pray for the
sacredness of every human life, from conception until natural
death. Celebrated annually on March 25th, in 2018 this special
day also happens to be Palm Sunday. Early planning is
needed to coordinate activities with council chaplains or
pastors who no doubt already have a full schedule for the
beginning of Holy Week.
Prayers for the unborn and their mothers could be included in
the petitions at Mass. Perhaps a special Rosary for the unborn
could be held before or after Mass.
Prayerful activities could also be held outside of the parish or
council, such as at a tomb for the unborn in a local cemetery,
outside an abortion clinic, or in some other public area.
Besides Knights, family members, and parishioners, invite
members of the community, including pro-life public officials
and health care workers, to participate in any council sponsored
observance.
The Knights of Columbus Day of Prayer for the Unborn Child
is a key part of the Order’s Culture of Life program. For more
