Worthy Grand Knights, Rev. Clergy and Brother Knights,

In July, for the last seven years, the Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus were proud to host a Clergy Sports Day, for the clergy of the four Diocese of Saskatchewan and the Eparchy, at St. Peter’s College in Muenster.

This year, the 8th Annual Clergy Sports Day will once again give Clergy and brother knights an opportunity to fraternalize, to participate in many sporting events, and to reflect in prayer at the Monastery Chapel.

Below is a summary of the events:

1. On Monday, July 16^th, we encourage participants to arrive by 4:30 for registration, prayers at 5:30, supper At 6:00 followed by informal games, cards, fraternity and refreshments. Participants would then take a room for the night at the College.


2. On Tuesday, July 17^th, morning prayers are at 6:20, Mass at 7:00, Breakfast at 8:00, organized games between 9-12:00 and lunch at 12:00.


3. Councils are asked to cover the total cost for their priest to attend and to accompany their priest to Muenster. This is a wonderful way to show support to our Clergy and to exchange fraternity among us.


4. Monday evening will be more leisurely as participants will be able to participate in games of their choice, as well as to socialize and have a few refreshments. Tuesday will be more structured where participants will complete in a variety of games of different levels and interests.

This is an excellent opportunity for Knights and Clergy to get together for a day of camaraderie and fun. This is also an excellent opportunity to show appreciation to our clergy.

I am asking you and your council to talk to your Chaplain/Clergy and extend this invitation to him and to accompany him to Muenster.  We want our Clergy to know that they are important to us and that they deserve an extra day of relaxation.

Clergy And brother Knights are asked to register by July 10th on the registration form in this package.

Please assist your Priests, Seminarians and Deacons to take advantage of this wonderful day.  We understand that your Priest may have responsibilities that won’t allow him to participate but we ask all to pray for the success of this event to foster fraternity among the clergy of Saskatchewan and to enhance a stronger relationship between our clergy and the members of our order.
