Noting the demands upon many men due to family and work commitments, Oregon State Deputy for the Knights of Columbus, Francis Mohr said, Online sign-up is targeted for young professionals, young fathers with growing families, and those who interact online,” he said “While we continue to grow, we feel this digital pathway, used well, will assist us in spreading the Gospel and growing our order.”

A male, at least 18-years-old and a practicing Catholic, may join online at www.kofc.org/joinus

Since 1882, membership in the Knights of Columbus has been open to men 18 years of age or older who are "practical" (that is, practicing) Catholics in union with the Holy See. Since that time, the Knights of Columbus has understood "practical catholic" to mean a Catholic who accepts the teaching authority of the Catholic Church on matters of faith and morals, aspires to live in accord with the precepts of the Catholic Church, and is in good standing in the Catholic Church.

The Oregon KofC Jurisdiction is comprised of 91 Councils with over 9,400 members, spanning the Pacific coast to Baker and beyond. The initiative, to include more social media platforms and community outreach, helps build a more accurate image of the Knights of Columbus, and the significant impact its members and charitable endeavors mean to our communities. As State Deputy Francis made our state pin for 2017, the motto “In His Love” which was crafted in New Haven, continues to serve as a reminder that highlights the work our member Knights and their families do in their own parishes and communities. It is “In His Love and in our works, that we hope compel more catholic men to join us.
