Henry's service to the Knights of Columbus began in 1955. He was a leader in various offices, including State Deputy from 1995-1997, Grand Knight for two councils, and board member for the Center of Family Love. Henry was a devoted Catholic and was actively involved at Our Lady's Cathedral for the past 37 years. He and Shirley were honored as Family of the Year in 1999. In August 2005, Henry humbly accepted the Venerable Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, an honor bestowed by Pope John Paul II to recognize those who have been exemplary in the practice of their Catholic faith. For his lifetime of service, he was awarded the Excalibur Award in Feb. 2006. |
