Brother Thomas J. Thorn has served the Knights of Columbus since January 1994 and served as Grand Knight of Our Lady of Las Vegas Council 9102 during the 1996-1997 fraternal year, and as Charter Grand Knight of Council 12543 at Holy Apostles also in LV during 1999-2000. He served the State of Nevada, as the District Deputy for District 5 from 2001-2003, and District Deputy for District 11 from 2008-2010, won a membership contest and received a trip to New Haven, CT to the Supreme office for first degrees hosted in his District as District Deputy for District 5 and received Star District for the fraternal years of 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. Tom served as State Retention Chairman — Diocese of Las Vegas for the 2010-2011 Fraternal Year and has served as the Knights of Columbus representative to the Diocese of Las Vegas Catholic Committee on Scouting. He was the State Administrative Assistant for the 2011-2012 Fraternal Year, served as State Warden for the 2012-2013 Fraternal Year, has served as the State Advocate for the 2013-2015 Fraternal Years, has served as State Secretary for the 2015-2017 Fraternal Years. He served as the State Deputy for 2 years winning the Circle of Honor award. Tom now serves as the Immediate Past State Deputy and has worked with the State Leadership Team to improve the Nevada jurisdiction accounting, communications platform, and work with the State Advocate on compliance and to strengthen the State Bylaws. |
