A message to All 1st & 2nd Degree Council Members
Brothers, Our council (St. Eugene - 10822) is sponsoring Formation and Knighthood Degrees (2nd & 3rd) on Sunday, October 6, 2019. The degree ceremonies start at 1:00 PM and will end with a light meal served about 3:30 PM. The ceremonies will be held in our St. Eugene Meeting Rooms.
All First-Degree Members should arrive and be registered by 12:30 PM at the Council Meeting Room. The ceremonies are private and only a Knight of Columbus Member/Brother can attend.
In the 1st Degree, you became a member of the KofC Council. Upon completing your 3rd Degree, a member receives full honors of Knighthood and is “Knighted”. Both 2nd & 3rd Degree Ceremonies are held at the same time/day.
First Degree members are encouraged to attain the Second and Third Degrees, which teach the lessons of Unity and Fraternity. Privileges of Third Degree membership include the ability to serve as a local council officer, and admission to state and Supreme Council business meetings.
IMPORTANT: All First-Degree Members are encouraged to receive their advanced degrees at this time!

Cadidates should meet in the parish hall by 6:00 PM. A light meal will be served, and the ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM in the Knights' meeting room. It is customary for the Council sponsoring a candidate bring a complete degree kit presented by a council officer to the host council registrar. A complete kit consist of the following: completed form 100, KofC Rosary, KofC lapel pin, "These Men They Call Knights" booklet, completed Membership Card. The Candidate's form 100 will be returned to the council officer once registration is complete and the Candidate's council will be responsible for submitting it to the Supreme Council. If you have a Catholic friend or family member who might be interested in joining the Knights of Columbus, please invite him to join by contacting your Membership Director and/or Grand Knight to arrange a meeting with him as soon as possible. As a fellow Brother, please make every effort to attend and support the candidates who will join our brotherhood at this time.
