John Stice is the general agent serving brother Knights and their families in Alabama and Mississippi. In this role, John guides, trains and recruits field agents while helping to fulfill the mission of Father Michael J. McGivney.
“My roots with Knights of Columbus stem from my association with sports,” said John. “In 1986, I was asked to join Council 5096 in Alpine, Texas, and help them put a slow pitch softball team together. I agreed, and spent the next three years as a player coach. When I purchased my first policy with the Knights of Columbus, the agent told me to give him a call after I graduated from college if I had any interest in a very rewarding sales career. It stuck in my mind for the next several years, and, in 1991, I made the call.”
John and his wife Sharon have four sons: Mark (25), Shon (21) Grant (18) and Sawyer (14). They currently reside in Pell City, AL, where Sharon is employed at Union State Bank in administration. Sharon and John are very active in their community and their parish, Our Lady of the Lake Church.
“We spend many hours year volunteering and raising funds for our local women’s crisis pregnancy center, Ann’s New Life,” said John. “It has truly become a passion for us.”
As a manager, John has clear goals for the men in his agency.
“I bring a coach’s heart and a teacher’s mindset to this career,” said John. “My passion is to ‘grow’ people, not just help them. To me, growing people means improving their life, giving them peace of mind. In bringing a man into the business and improving his career path, or helping families find financial freedom, it is all about positive growth. Their satisfaction and happiness become my reward.” |
