GENERAL AGENT: STEVE HUDEC, FIC

Steve grew up in Yucaipa, a small town in Southern California where after finishing his AA degree, he transferred to California State University-Fresno. He earned a Bachelors' degree in Business Administration and began working for Enterprise Rent-A-Car as a Management Trainee. Over the next 15 years, he advanced through the ranks from Branch Manager, managing one Enterprise location to a Group Rental Manager overseeing 14 Branch locations. It was in Lubbock, Tx in 1996, where he joined the Knights of Columbus, and was awarded "Newcomer of the Year" for 1997-1998. He then moved his family back to Fresno, Ca in 2001. After working a couple of years in the Auto Industry, he was approached by Zurich Insurance. While employed with Zurich, he built a client base to over 200 businesses insured. Much of his success was attributed to providing the best solutions to better protect their lifelong investments and by providing unparalleled customer service. It was here that he realized that he wanted to do more than just protect his clients from peril, he also wanted to help them plan for their future. he remembered the words of Jim Seideman, General Agent in Lubbock, Tx. Jim told him he could work in a job where he could help people plan for their future, grow in his faith and make a good living for his family by helping to fulfill Father McGivney's dream of protecting Catholic families from the devastation of losing a loved one. He started as a Field Agent in March, 2010 and just under 2 years was promoted to the position of General Agent. He is now responsible for the hiring and training of all Field Agents in the Central Valley and Central Coast to provide the best possible service to all the members in his assigned councils. He is active at Holy Spirit Church by being a Liturgical Assistant and an usher. He is a member of the Mens Club and has also served on the Parish Council and was a leader in the scouts.
