FIELD AGENT: SK Mark Deaton, FICF, MDRT

Mark L Deaton is a field agent with the Rangel Agency, serving Houston, TX. Mark, who joined the Order in 2000 after converting to Catholicism that year, became a field agent in 2002. It was his desire to give back to the Church that brought him to the Knights.  After meeting with his insurance agent, Mark realized that he wanted to help other brother Knights protect their families.

Mark places a high value on education. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Sam Houston State University. He served as Captain in the 386th Combat Engineer Battalion of the Army National Guard. As an agent, Mark is on a strict educational track, to further increase his knowledge to better serve his members and their families. To this end, Mark earned the designation of Fraternal Insurance Counselor Fellow (FICF) and is currently enrolled in the course of Chartered Financial Counselor. He is also a member of the National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors (NAFIC).

Mark is a ten time member of the Million Dollar Round Table and the Supreme Knight Sales Club. Additionally, he received the prestigious KINANE award for the great state of Texas and the NAIFA National Quality Award and the NAFIC President Award for excellence. Mark is a member of Council 10861 in Spring, serves on the insurance agency First Degree Team, and is a Fourth Degree Knight with Assembly 2683, since 2002.

He and wife Tammi have been married for 30 years and have three children. They are members of Christ the Redeemer Parish, and Mark is a member of the prayer team for the Healing mass with the Prince of Peace Parish. Mark volunteers with Special Olympics Texas and supports the Wheelchair Foundation. Mark enjoys helping brother Knights secure a life of dignity and create a guaranteed legacy of love.
