FIELD AGENT: Damian Balderas

Damian Anthony Balderas joined the Knights of Columbus with Holy Name Council #8789 in January of 2018. Quickly moving up in degrees achieving 4th Degree Knighthood in August of 2018. Damian was appointed to an officer position as a Two Year Trustee and is a member of Assembly 1855’s Color Guard. His passion for helping and protecting others has driven him to become a Field Agent for Knights of Columbus Steve Michlik Agency where he serves his brother Knights and their families.

Damian was born and raised in Seguin, Texas and graduated from Seguin High School in 1998. He was called to service as a public servant where he became a Volunteer Firefighter in 2001 with The City of Seguin Fire Department and China Grove Fire and Rescue. Damian received his Emergency Medical Technician Certification in 2002. Thereafter went on to obtain his Texas Peace Officer’s License in 2007 where he has served the community for 11 years. Damian continues to be an active Texas Peace Officer. For over 17 years Damian has been committed to his calling as a public servant in the community protecting the lives of others.

In 2003 Damian met his future wife Azalea and was married in December of 2008 celebrating 10 years of marriage. The couple has two children a daughter and son who currently attend private school. They have made their home on the Southeast Side of San Antonio. They are currently active parishioners of Holy Name Catholic Church, Holy Name Catholic School, and Shields of Christ Law Enforcement and Firefighter A.C.T.S. Ministry.
