Autism Academy of South Carolina

The Autism Academy of South Carolina (AASC) is a not-for-profit organization offering individualized Applied Behavior Analysis therapy (ABA) to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

 AASC strives to help children with autism acquire the skills necessary to become fully capable members of their communities, ultimately able to prosper without the need for intensive intervention. Our vision is to be a model organization for individualized programs that can be replicated to serve a growing need.

Birthright of Columbia

Transfiguration Catholic Church parishioners Hank and Sally Chardos opened the Columbia SC chapter of birthright in 1980.   They offer friendship and caring, non-judgmental support to anyone facing an unplanned or problem pregnancy. Assistance includes free and confidential pregnancy tests, maternity and baby clothes, and information and referrals for medical, financial, education, and housing needs.

Christian Assistance Bridge

Christian Assistance Bridge is a service agency in Blythewood, SC that is blessed with significant support from a generous community! The mission of Christian Assistance Bridge is to provide hope and support to those in need by offering basic necessities. CAB offers emergency assistance, such as utilities, rent, food, medication, transportation and traveler’s aid, to residents in Blythewood and surrounding communities. The agency, located at 126 Blythewood Road, is a collaborative effort of area churches, individuals and support organizations and currently serves residents of zip codes 29016 (Blythewood), 29229 (Northeast Columbia) and 29130 (Ridgeway).

At Transitions, we engage our clients with various services and provide them a place to stay as they transition from the streets to permanent housing. We also partner with many community agencies that use their expertise to help our clients reach their goals. As a result, clients receive services that enable them to stabilize their lives, increase their income, and secure permanent housing.

Harvest Hope Food Bank

The mission of Harvest Hope Food Bank is to provide for the needs of hungry people by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion and education.


Harvest Hope began in 1981 as the result of a shared vision of business leaders and the faith community who set out to provide for the hungry in Columbia. Since then Harvest Hope has increased its mission to feed the hungry across 20 counties of South Carolina. Harvest Hope distributed over 28 million pounds of food last year and fed approximately 38,000 people a week.


From our simple beginnings, Harvest Hope has continued to increase the scope of its operations and now provides food, comfort and hope to hungry individuals and families in the Midlands, Pee Dee and Greater Greenville regions of South Carolina.
