Martin M. Salerno, age 86, of Schaumburg for over 46 years. Beloved husband of Dolores M. Salerno, nee Truppa, for over 59 years. Devoted father of Martin D. (the late Mary) Salerno and Richard (Nora) Salerno. Cherished grandfather of Nicole Katherine (Matthew), Elizabeth Rose, Rebecca, Molly and Christina. Loving great grandfather of Brooke Katherine. Caring son of the late Peter and Mary Salerno. Cherished brother of the late Salvatore, Ernest, Josephine, Stella and Adeline. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special cousin of Judy Kaner.

Marty served in the Air Force for over 7 years. He worked for the Village of Schaumburg for over 24 years and the Village of Niles for 11 years. He also was a proud owner of a USAC stock car. Marty is a member of the Knights of Columbus, #6964.

The visitation will be held Friday from 3 to 8 PM at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Funeral prayers 10:15AM Saturday at the funeral home to St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1005 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg. Mass 11 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel, Palatine. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
