ROBERT HART

 

Robert A. Hart Jr., 92, native of Denver, Colorado served in the Coast Guard in World War II. Later he attended the University of Denver where he met his wife of 50 years, Barbara Dickerson. Bob successfully spent an extensive 32 year career in broadcasting which included working as a Sales Manager of Rocky Mountain Life, salesman for KFEL radio and sales manager for KMGH TV Channel 7 and general manager and vice president of McGraw Hill Broadcasting Company in Denver, Colorado.

Bob, known to his friends and loved ones as a fellow founder of the Denver St Patrick's Day Parade, he was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus in Denver and Tucson. He served as a Director of the American Diabetes Association and Colorado affiliate, Board member of the Colorado Easter Seal Association and chairman of the Denver Chamber of Commerce President's Club. Additionally, he was a tennis enthusiast and loved sports.

Bob and Barbara had eight children and raised their family in Denver before retiring in Tucson, AZ in 1981. Survived by his children: Christina Hart (Richard Gentili), Kathleen Hart (David Cooper), Robert D. Hart, Colette Hart, Mari Hart Griffin (Ron Griffin), Barb Hart, Dan Hart (Denice Trottier). Grandchildren are: Lindsey Griffin Thompson (Terry Thompson), Ali, Courtney and Kendra Griffin; Geoffrey, Billy, Emily, Patrick Hart-Cooper; Sydney and Logan Bruner.

Bob will be missed for his sense of humor and love of life. We love you dad!
